YAY! We’re off to a Super Bowl Party to watch the game tonight. I’m excited to be a guest at someone else’s party this year! I wanted to show my appreciation with a Super Bowl Party hostess gift. Here are my tips for creating a football themed gift basket.
What’s inside of the basket? Root beer, Popcorn, Peanuts, Fun Pom-Pom Picks, Fancy Cracker Jacks, Cocktail Napkins and a Keepsake Football Yard Stake that she can keep long after the party is over!
It’s easy peasy to put together a last minute gift basket! Here are some of my favorite tricks:
Gift Basket Tip #1: You don’t have to use a basket! The bottom of my “basket” is a leftover cardboard box covered with silver gift wrap and ribbon.
Gift Basket Tip #2: Use cardboard and tissue to boost the height in your box. I used another smaller box turned upside down to boost the items up for maximum visual impact.
Gift Basket Tip #3 Match tissue paper to your crinkle shred to keep the color cohesive and keep your shred in place (and not all over your car!)
Gift Basket Tip #4 We like big bows and we cannot lie! Use bows inside the basket and around the contents to make it look more festive!
Gift Basket Tip #5 Wooden kitchen skewers make great tools to add fun and unusual items to your basket. Take a look at the photo above! I skewered a squeezable football!
Gift Basket Tip #6 Use common logos or free printables to personalize your project. I used the Super Bowl logo and added a blue “Happy” to match the basket.
Gift Basket Tip # 7 You don’t have to include caviar and champagne! Ordinary items are some of the most enjoyable! Most people are simply thrilled that you thought of them and took the time to create something special and unique!
We hope that your Super Bowl Sunday night is fabulous and also full of what we call the four F’s – Friends, Food, Fun & of course, Football! Goooo Team!!!
